Infant.. Baby bonnet

Made from recycled fabric

Holiday item

Vintage/thrift store fabric w freehand recycled leather appliqué

Holiday pillow

Spooky tree!
Used some blue metallic organza I found at a thrift store, along with salvaged leather for this pillow. The tree I applied freehand. I think I gotta get some more feather trim- I thought it would look neat like this, but I think it just looks unfinished.

Infant pillow

Infant pillow, with recycled dinosaur fabric.

Stuffed toy

Satin pony? This guy is kind of a mess but I can't decide if he works or not. He's kinda cute i think... Probably didn't plan him out enough- I didn't plan him at all. Just sat down with some selvages and started sewing.

Decorated hat

Decorated hat. Thrift store trucker cap with woven bead "Eleanor". This Was my first big woven bead project, glad I figured out something to do with it. The pony is freehand beading.

Gloves!

First attempt, not too shabby for not even having a pair on hand for reference! Made this with some pink metallic knit from my fabric hoard.

Toddler costume

I love how this turned out! I made it from an old table cloth and bits from my stash.

Sweatshirt made into a jacket.

Another category I had to google to figure out what the heck it even is-- the results there are pretty lame, but it gave me an idea. I think my version is... Interesting. Hehe. I took a thrift store crew neck sweatshirt, made yokes out of a woven cotton print I had, added a collar and pearly snaps. Finest sweatshirt into a jacket I've ever made!

Decorated sweatshirt

I decided I wasn't a big fan of the flamingo shirt I posted before, so I did this instead. Woven beaded tennesse state flag on the front, white leather freehand appliqué stars on back.

Youth deco crew neck sweatshirt.

Insanity, pure and simple. This thrift store sweatshirt was totally reinvented with beads. Inspired by dream catchers.

Updates

Life got away from me for a bit, as life tends to do. I haven't stopped making things for the state fair though, just forgot about posting them here. I'll be better!

That toddler sweatshirt..

Toddler sweatshirt got an upgrade, with the addition of a ton of beads. So glad I revisited it!
